News: Key Stakeholders Visit KT-Shelter to Discuss Export and Innovation

07.04.2025 | KT-Shelter Oy, a pioneer in rapidly deployable defence shelter solutions, recently welcomed key national and local decision-makers to its innovation and production site in Lappeenranta.

In April 2025, KT-Shelter had the honour of hosting Jyri Häkämies, CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), Jari Iskanius, Deputy Mayor of Lappeenranta, and Joonas Grönlund, Chair of the Lappeenranta City Board, at our production and innovation site in Lappeenranta.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the future of Finnish export, technological innovation, and international competitiveness, especially in the context of the rapidly evolving defence sector. Topics included how EK can further support companies like KT-Shelter in expanding to global markets and how collaboration between industry and public institutions can enhance Finland’s role as a technology leader.
